Why come to West Barr Self Catering?

West Barr enjoys magnificent views across to the Mull O f Galloway and Isle of Man.  Located in this peaceful setting just 2 miles from the pretty 18th Century fishing village of Port William.  Dumfries and Galloway is not short of beautiful scenery from its' glorious green countryside and rolling hills to its' sandy coast and spectacular sunsets.  15 miles from the market town of Newton Stewart and 20 miles from Stranraer with its' many shops, restaurants and museums.  Close to the Galloway Forest, part of the 7 stanes for keen cyclists, adventurous hikers or peaceful strollers and dog walkers.  There is an abundance of sea, loch and river fishing spots for anglers and even the golfers can enjoy a round at nearby St Medan golf course.  Whilst those seeking a more relaxing break can visit Scotland's National book town of Wigtown where there is an annual book festival each autumn.  Sample local produce from a choice of smokehouses dotted along the main A75 route or indulge in home made jersey ice cream at the famous Cream O' Galloway.  Both properties are located on the edge of the holiday park.  Facilities on the park for children consist of an enclosed play paddock with slide, swings and climbing tower.

West Barr Cottage

This cosy TWO bedroom cottage offers you a charming retreat.  With its secure garden, conservatory and modern well equipped kitchen: gas hob, electric oven, fridge, microwave & combi-boiler. TWO bedrooms one double, one twin (sleeps 4), shower room and WC and lounge which was recently refurbished in 2017 you will not be disappointed.  It boasts an open fire and also has the comfort of central heating.  Storage shed outside would accommodate bikes at no extra charge.  Beach within walking distance.  Arrival 3pm.

Bookings run weekly  Sat - Sat.  Short breaks can be accommodated.

West Barr Farmhouse

This accommodation offers FOUR bedrooms (sleeps 8) : 3 super-kingsize (can all be made twin on request), 1 double.  Bathroom with shower over bath and WC.  Wet room with shower and WC. Lounge with TV and DVD.  Well equipped Kitchen/Diner (seats 8) electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave.  Utility room with washing machine and combi boiler.  Outside large enclosed garden/patio with seating and built in brick BBQ (charcoal not supplied).  Ample off road parking for up to 4 cars, bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wifi all included.  Strictly no-smoking. One dog welcome, additional dog accepted by arrangement.  Beach within walking distance.  Arrival 4pm.

Bookings run weekly Sat-Sat and prices range from £550 - £900 per week.  Short breaks can be accommodated.
